During class on Thursday the 24 we played Blackjack because it was a way to relate to investing in stocks, you have an Idea of what the dealer might have in his hand, and you try to play the cards to work for you and thereby making money. In stocks you have an idea of what might happen and you try to predict what will happen and invest or trade when the time is right.
When I walked into class and Kapptie handed me a stack of chips I was like,.... Awesome! And being as psyched as I was, I haven't played it before so I was lost for the first round or so until I got what was actually going on. When I did figure it out I made the connection to why we were playing it, overall it was worth the class period we used to play it.

Portfolio Blog Post
I bought Apple stocks as a trade because the introduction of the new iPad and iPad mini would bump up Apple's earnings report and thereby increasing stock values, I intend to sell in when their quarterly earnings report comes out.
I also bought Amazon stocks as a trade and I'm selling them today because they had a catalyst which was the release of their earnings report a week ago and it was really good, so I waited out the week in expectancy of a continual rise until it spiked today and I sold it for a 10% profit.

In the process of investing, your main goal is to invest in a portfolio of stocks that you are in a long term relationship with and hope to gain money over an extended period of time. Your average investor will be content to sit at 10% annual profit, investors usually know a lot about the companies they invest in before buying. Trading however is pretty much a short term relationship, you find stocks that will most likely go up in the next week or day, and buy them quickly and sell them. If however the stocks being bought are continually dropping, the traders will have put stops on their stocks which sells the stocks once it goes to such a low point that they are no longer comfortable investing and cut their losses. Traders usually are the ore aggressive of the two and instead of 10% annual return, they go for 10-15% monthly return, traders are also more connected with the market seeing as they have to know when to sell and buy stocks that are fluctuating.

Class Stock Exchange
During the Thursday class period when I walked to the class I was surprised when we couldn't go in, but soon the doors opened signifying the stock maket opening, it was quite hectic and got your adrenaline going when everyone was racing to pick up candy and money off the floor. It was dark in the room with the projector going and loud crowd noises playing throughout the entire class period. At the start of the period we were all having a hard time understanding what to do and we're were struggling to make trades. Soon I figured out that the candy was your shares in stocks and the money was just that. Stock prices were posted on the board and updated every 2 minutes with a news flash from Mr. Kapptie. We soon started to understand that stocks were going up and we're continuing to rise and we were all trying to buy stocks from people that wouldn't sell for the same reason. By the end of the class period I had accumulated $500 some dollars and about $4500 in stocks which was one of the higher portfolios of the class. I would say this exercise was necessary and helpful to us as wear trying to learn how to trade stocks.

My 20% project is to design or make a recovery formula that not only helps you recover but speeds up muscle build up. I am trying to target mainly high school athletes because we usually have a small wallet and don't want to spend $100 bucks a month for recovering. I want this to be made out of items found in any home, or is cost effective products that u can buy at the store and obtain easily. This September I have been testing things like chocolate milk and creatine on myself and a friend, mainly because it's easier to control and we are both doing the Insanity and we are completely wiped out, dripping sweat, and sore by the end of it. At the end of October I hope to know what ingredients or products I will have put in or needed for the Product.
